
Acute Conditions
Acute conditions are sudden, sharp, traumatic
injuries with rapid onset and possibly severe pain.
They can be the result of an auto accident, slip
and fall, or weekend sports injury.
Signs of acute injuries include:
* sudden, severe pain
* swelling
* inability to place weight on a limb
* extreme tenderness of a limb
* inability to move a joint through its full
range of motion
* extreme limb weakness
* visible dislocation or break of bone
