At one point in the series one of the girls, Brooke, starts to have hip pain.  She doesn’t tell her mom right away.  She is the lead in the Acrobatic routine for a competition that is coming right around the corner.  Eventually she has to tell her mom due to the extremity of her pain.  Her mom decides to take her to see a doctor, a Chiropractor actually.

She had shin splints, ankle sprains, and knee problems.  Karen loved soccer. She lived to play it.  Karen’s physical therapist knew this immediately.
